Thoughts on my own work

If the my ideas, and the excecution of those, are good or bad is not in my power to decide, everyone has a different way of interpreting it.

It is not my task to convince you to like my work, that would contradict the very nature of my creations. I would feel ashamed if there were no people criticizing me, for that would mean that I have failed to create something unique.

I do not compare myself to artists that have inspired me, I don’t try to become like them, it is not possible. You cannot replicate anyone, you can only learn from them.

For my AW24 collection I have limited my resources, only using a straight stitch, it has forced me to design creative solutions to my problems.

I have used the lack of tools to create something no tool can replicate.

In my own opinion, my garments, photography and writing are far from perfect. I would probably criticize myself from an outside standpoint.
