Thoughts on personal style
A personal style is not achieved through following trends and purchasing hype pieces.
You will not find what you truly like by buying everything you like. Let your taste develop and invest in pieces that reflect you as a person, not as a costumer.
Another pair of cheap, trending jeans will not make you any happier or improve your style.
Go a few months without buying anything and then buy what you truly want.
Buying fewer, more quality clothes will be more financially sustainable, as those things will accompany you a whole lifetime. Resulting in a lower cost per wear, compared to cheaper, instant gratification purchases.
Do lot let the opinion of others influence you, chasing validation from people around you will only result in being like everyone around you.
However, just because something is trending at the moment, it does not mean you have to avoid it at all costs. Reflect on your own taste and opinion. Then decide wether an item is worth your time and money.
